  • Chestnut Street Home Purchases

    During the month of March, three Holyoke residents became first-time homebuyers with their purchase of homes constructed by the Holyoke Housing Authority on Chestnut Street. These three homes, built on the former Minnie Dwight State Public Housing development site, further improve the neighborhood and continues the Authority's goal of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to low/moderate income households. In addition to purchasing the homes the buyers utilized the Authority's HOME funded Borrowers Assistance Program (BAP) to help with downpayment and closing costs. The Authority wishes these families great success as homeowners.

  • 2013 Holyoke Literacy Event

    On April 17th the Holyoke Housing Authority together with City of Holyoke’s Early Literacy Initiative hosted a literacy event at the Merry-Go-Round at Heritage State Park. This fun-filled day included free merry-go-round rides, free books, a story book walk, reading time at the visitor’s center and information from community service agencies.
