The HHA was glad to participate in and sponsor the Holyoke Safe and Successful Youth Initiative’s 1st Annual Community Basketball Tournament at Toepfert Apartments on July 31st. The event hosted 20 teams of youth between the ages of 14-24 years old for an afternoon of 15-minute 3 on 3 games. Congrats to the two winning teams, sponsored by River Valley Counseling Center and CareerPoint. Many meaningful collaborations were formed and several community agencies and Holyoke residents alike volunteered their time to make the event a success.
Thanks to the hard work of several outstanding students and instructors from Dean Technical High School new steel railings were replaced at a number of HHA sites. These hand welded railings make a welcome addition to our properties. Thanks to the instructor and students for partnering with the HHA and for the hard work it is truly appreciated!!
