The HOLYOKE HOUSING AUTHORITY, (the Owner and Awarding Authority), invites sealed bids from General Contractors for construction of WINDOW AND EXTERIOR DOOR REPLACEMENT at 565-567 & 553-555 South Summer Street  in Holyoke, Massachusetts; in accordance with the documents prepared by Leon Pernice And Associates Inc., AIA, Architects-Planners-Interior Designers, 34 Mt Pleasant Avenue, West Springfield, Massachusetts.

The Project consists of replacement of windows and exterior doors, in two duplex (2- family) residences on two proximately-located sites.

The work is estimated to cost $106,700.00 including three (3) Alternates.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L.c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.

Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM Commonwealth of  Massachusetts) in the following category of work: GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.

Bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA.  The combined participation goal reserved for  such enterprises shall not be less than 10.4% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. See Contract Documents-Article 10 of the Instructions to Bidders.

Bids will be received until 2:00PM on 16 August 2017 and be publicly opened online, forthwith.

All Bids shall be submitted electronically online no later than the date and time specified above.

Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering the Alternate) and payable to the Holyoke Housing Authority.

Plan deposit:  $50.00 per set (maximum of 2 sets), Deposits may be electronically paid or  must be certified or cashier's check only, payable to  BidDocs ONLINE Inc.  Deposit will be refunded for up to 2 sets upon return of the sets in good condition within ten (10) days of receipt of  bids.  Otherwise, the deposit shall be property of the Holyoke Housing Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00 per set, payable to BidDocs ONLINE, Inc.

Documents will be mailed upon request: UPS Ground at $40.00 per se, prepaid mailing and handling charge; separate cashier's or certified check payable to BidDocs ONLINE, Inc.

A pre bid conference will be conducted on 3 August 2017,  beginning at 10:00 AM; meet in front of 553-555 South Summer Street, at which time bidders will have the opportunity to view the project sites.
