$6.5M MassWorks Grant Awarded to Support South Holyoke Homes

On December 10th, Governor Baker announced a $6.5M MassWorks grant to support the South Holyoke Homes, an affordable homeownership project around Carlos Vega Park in South Holyoke. The Holyoke Housing Authority is the lead developer of the project, and we are thrilled about this important investment in the neighborhood.

The funding will include utility upgrades for water and sewer; streetscape improvements including new sidewalks, streets, bike lanes, lighting and trees; improved alleyways with new lighting; and a new greenspace at the intersection of Sargeant, Clemente and South East Streets.
